Reports are out that the University of North Dakota will be leaving the Big Sky Conference to join fellow Dakota schools in The Summit League and Missouri Valley Football Conference.

According to Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald, UND will join The Summit League in 2018 and the Missouri Valley Football Conference in 2020.

Schlossman reports that UND will play it's final full season with the Big Sky Conference in 2017-2018, and will be affiliate members of the conference for football in 2018 and 2019.

The University of South Dakota, South Dakota State University, and North Dakota State University all participate in both The Summit League and Missouri Valley Football Conference. This move would reunite UND with their fellow Dakota schools for the first time since the North Central Conference days.
