Are texting while driving laws already outdated? Lawmakers in one state say yes - mainly because we do far more than just text these days.

Lawmakers in Washington State are considering toughening up the state's distracted driving law to the point where you may not even be able to touch your phone if you're driving.

The way the bill is written, it would forbid even touching a mobile device while driving. So that would mean no more looking at Facebook while sitting at a stop light. The bill has already passed the State Senate and has moved on to the State House.

Supporters say current laws are now outdated because they were written when we had flip phones and we didn't have apps. Now, they say, the law needs to allow for only voice commands. Opponents say the proposed law is way too strict.
