Friday June 5, 2015 is not a holiday. However keep in mind there was a certain segment of people who celebrated heartily on Thursday June, 4 and may be wishing that it was.

A mighty throng of people witnessed one of the greatest bands of all time in concert at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Despite an on-again, off-again past The Eagles can still pack ‘em in with the best of them during the highly successful "History of The Eagles" tour.

Thus people could be given a small amount of grace for their inability to function normally. We could call it Day After Eagles Day in Sioux Falls.

Mail service should still be delivered and governmental operations should be normal. Just chalk it up to exuberance by the spectators who for the most part are not as spry as they were in 1975.

Granted, the schedulers had to work with a tight fit between Tuesday in Billings, MT and Friday in Grand Forks, ND before heading Sunday to Green Bay, WI. Thursday night in Sioux Falls with an excused absence for Friday is manageable.

Nevertheless, it should be well within bounds to poke a little fun don’t you think? For the semi-comatose in your midst who may still have the strains of "Peaceful Easy Feeling" looping through their memory give them the alternate edition of the chorus:

I’ve got a pizza on the ceiling
And I know I won’t get it down.
If I’m only standing on the ground.

You could also induce the munchies using the tune of "Take it Easy" and stick with the pizza theme:

Well I’m a-kicking up some dust, want some sauce and some crust
With seven toppings on my mind.
Four of them that’s meaty, two are kind of greeny
One of them that’s so sublime.

Make it cheesy, make it cheesy.
Just let the smell of that big wheel make you crazy.
If it’s thin, hand-tossed or a pan,
Wash it down with something from a can.
Gotta love me some It-al-i-an
And make it cheesy.

Pull that stunt at work and you sure will be something. It may not be good, but it will be something.
