Outage Etiquette Reminder from Sioux Falls Police
The power outage in Sioux Falls during the evening rush hour on Wednesday is prompting a reminder from police.
Captain Greg VandeKamp says it’s important to remember that when traffic signals at an intersection are not working, that intersection becomes a four-way stop.
VandeKamp says it’s easy to forget, especially if you are driving on the higher-traffic street at an intersection.
But he says it doesn’t work that way, and there is a law that spells it out:
When signals aren’t working, the intersection becomes a four-way stop.
