The Outdoor Campus had its third fire of the summer, this one the most damaging, destroying the kayak shed and all of its contents on Friday July 10, 2015.  Director Thea Miller Ryan explains:

There were twenty one kayaks, seven canoes, one tandem kayak, about eighty life jackets, ninety paddles and a bunch of waterfowl decoys.

Residents are already offering to help by loaning their gear for the summer and cash donations to replace the lost equipment.  More help is needed so they’re ready for the next big event, Outdoor University on August 1, 2015.

The resolve in Millers voice is unwavering:

We'll definitely have canoes and kayaks that day.  We'll find a way to do it.  We won't let this stop us.

The investigation continues into whether the three fires were set and if they’re related.
