The state is closing Interstate 90 between Chamberlain and Sioux Falls and Interstate 29 from Sioux Falls to Sisseton due to blizzard conditions.

These portions of the interstate will remain closed until conditions improve and crews are able to clear the roads.

White-out conditions have been reported in these areas with zero to near zero visibility, icy roads and blowing and drifting snow, making travel virtually impossible.

Be advised that no travel is advised in many other areas in eastern South Dakota.
