Patty’s Ponderings: Another Death in Sioux Falls

The grim reaper paid a visit to the SD penitentiary last night, again. He was also at the prison back in April of 2011, when prison guard Ronald Johnson was dispatched without mercy or thought by the man that death took peacefully last night at 10:01 p.m.

I have no illusions about the death penalty being a deterrent to crime or being a salve for the soul of loved ones left behind. But I also have no issues with it being used to remove societies’ miscreants.

Only God knows the answers to life’s impossible questions. We can only navigate our way through the murky waters of life with as much passion and compassion as we can muster.

I wish peace of mind and soul for us all
