Patty’s Ponderings-As Seen on TV

I’ll confess! Once upon a time, many years ago, while trying and failing to find sleep at 3:15 in the morning, I ordered something I saw on TV. It took less than a week for me to be very sorry about it. Less than a month to realize that I’d been taken and about a year to clear up the mess with my Visa company created by these shysters!

That being said, I still want to believe that some “As Seen on TV” products actually work and aren’t publicized and produced by scammers. I mean come on; some of them look so awesome!  

Today I found an article on iVillage.com on this very subject, in particular, dealing with kitchen gadgets. Casey Barber, a writer for iVillage tried these at home and swears they work, even though some comments on the same products she utilized are not as glowing as her reviews.

Here are just a few that she says are marvelous:

·        Grill Daddy- -you preheat your grill, fill this grill brush doodad with water and then scrub the grime off of your grill

 ·        Chop Stir- -this contraption chops all kinds of ground meat, fruit and more

 ·        Perfect Tortilla Pan- - these pans do work great, my niece Leah made ice cream desert bowls flavored with cinnamon sugar one weekend and they were delish!

 ·        Slipper Genie- - I love the look of these fuzzy pink dustmop slippers! I’m sure they would work but with one false move and a slip of the slipper down my stairs to the basement, I’d go from satisfied customer to a sad consumer in a body cast!
