Pancakes are things of beauty. Today, they are savory circular ambassadors of good in our community! In fact for two days every year, for 56 years, pancakes have been making miracles part of everyday life!

The 56th Annual Lions Club Pancake Days are going on now and for every one of those years, the Sioux Falls Downtown Lions Club has taken the money made from pancake and smokie sausage crazed citizens and turned it into free eyeglasses, hearing aids, tissue donation, providing service dogs, eyesight and hearing testing. They’ve also done service projects for Habitat For Humanity, the Siouxland Library and Children’s Program, The Banquet and many more.

Tickets are only 5 dollars in advance and can be found at Gustaf’s Greenery on Minnesota Avenue, all Sioux Falls Hyvees, all Nyberg’s Ace locations and at every Lewis. They’ll cost you six dollars at the door of the Sioux Falls Arena & Convention Center and for kids 6 and younger they are free!

Why not start a family tradition, or an office tradition, or a personal tradition? Your donation makes a difference in people’s lives and really; isn’t that why we’re on this planet?
