Paul McCartney Reportedly Hospitalized
UPDATE: Representatives for Paul McCartney confirmed that he was admitted into a hospital in Tokyo to be treated for a virus and that he will make a complete recovery.
Paul McCartney has reportedly been hospitalized in Tokyo due to a viral infection, reports claim. The iconic singer has been forced to cancel the rest of his 'Out There' tour throughout Japan and South Korea.
McCartney, who arrived in Japan on May 15 looking "a picture of health," Boston.com reports, postponed several concerts last week and apologized to fans in a statement.
"I'd like to thank my Japanese fans for their love, messages of support and understanding," the former Beatle said in a statement at the time. (Quote via Fox News.) "I hope to see you all soon. Love, Paul."
Since then, Japan's Sankei Newspaper claims that McCartney's conditioned has worsened and he has been admitted to a hospital in Tokyo, though there is no confirmation from the hospital that this is so. According to Boston.com, fans waiting outside of the hospital are worried about the singer.
McCartney, 71, is scheduled to take his tour to the U.S. in June.
We wish him all of the best in his recovery and hope that he gets well soon.
