A legislative source says that Gov. Dennis Daugaard will finally relent and support Medicaid expansion to 48,000 South Dakotans — after the November election.

The source said Daugaard is late to the Medicaid expansion party because he did not want to get hammered by the tea party during his re-election bed and because considerable pressure has been brought on the governor, even inside his own party.

We'll see.
