Music Legend Prince Dead at 57

According to a TMZ report music icon Prince is dead at 57. The Sheriff's department in Carver County Minnesota was called to Prince's Paisley Park mansion in Chanhassen, Minnesota at around 9:45am Thursday morning.

Prince's body was discovered at his compound in early Thursday morning.

Less than a week ago Prince was hospitalized with flu like symptoms. His rep said that Prince had been canceling concerts earlier this month due to illness.

Prince was a Minneapolis, Minnesota native who earned 7 Grammys, made 39 studio albums, and won an Oscar in 1985 for Best Original Song with "Purple Rain".
