If someone were to ask me what my favorite beer is, I'd say 'Bud Light Lime'.  My husband would say 'Busch Light', my dad would say 'Bud Light', and a couple of my friends would say 'Coors Light' or maybe 'Miller Lite'.  I only know of one person...just ONE...that would have said, "I love a Pabst Blue Ribbon!"  And that person was my late Uncle Mike.

Pabst Blue Ribbon is probably not at the top of many people's lists of All Time Favorite Beers.  At least not in today's beer-buying world.  With so many different flavors, people often forget about the red, white and blue can that was originally brewed in 1844 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Though it might not be the first choice of many beer drinkers, the cult fans of PBR are probably not surprised that the Pabst Brewing company could possibly be up for sale, and is actually valued at $500 million to $1 billion. But there are some facts that many might be surprised to know about the beer that has a blue ribbon on the can, even though it has actually never won a blue ribbon!
