Record Rain Floods Council Bluffs, IA – See for Yourself

Heavy rainfall pounded the Omaha/Council Bluffs area on Wednesday causing flooding, power outages and other damage. WOTW-TV reports that Council Bluffs got about seven inches of rain and had to close schools Wednesday. Eppley Airfield in Omaha recorded just over five inches of rain by 5:00 PM Wednesday.

After our own round of flooding in August, Sioux Falls knows a little about that. But, this rain event in Omaha metro area looks to be more widespread then we had.
