When you get to a certain age there are many things you can't do yourself, like repairing that deck or even something simple like fixing a door knob.

I have a deck that is really in need of some TLC.  But I don't qualify to have it done for free!

The Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire is now accepting applications for the community service program called the Repair Affair, where homes are remodeled for free to meet the accessibility needs of people who are at least 65 years old or permanently disabled.

Homeowners with a dependent who is disabled would also qualify for the program.

The 24th Annual Repair Affair will be held on June 6th and at no charge to the homeowner. The materials are paid for through a grant from Sioux Falls Community Development and the Sioux Empire Home Builders Care Foundation.

If you feel you or someone you may know qualifies for Repair Affair, call the HBASE office at 605-361-8322 and request an application to be mailed to you.
