Washington High School in Sioux Falls has a new football coach with a pair of South Dakota championships on his resume.

Former Flandreau and Howard head coach Chad Stadem will replace Brian Hermanson, according to the Argus Leader.

Stadem last coached in Flandreau in 2011, and went 27-9 in four seasons with the Fliers, including the 2010 11B state championship.

Prior to Flandreau, Stadem coached in Howard for four seasons, where he went 26-13, winning the 2004 11B state championship.

Stadem is a graduate of the University of Sioux Falls.
