Restaurant Impossible Looks to Save a Establishment in Omaha

Restaurant Impossible first aired on the Food Network about 4 years ago. The premise of the series is that within two days and on a budget of $10,000, Chef Robert Irvine renovates a failing American restaurant with the goal of helping to restore it to profitability and prominence.

Now the award winning chef is focusing his eyes on a establishment in Omaha and you can be apart of it. The Food Network's "Restaurant: Impossible" is headed to Bene Pizza and Pasta.

The restaurant will close for the renovation and taping of the show, and a grand reopening is slated for 7 p.m. Dec. 4. Diners can make a reservation for the reopening by calling the restaurant at 402-498-0700.

The show is also looking for volunteers to help renovate the restaurant on Dec. 3 and 4 while they tape the episode. Volunteers will help with painting, craft work, construction, remodeling, cleaning and decorating, depending on their skills.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, be willing to appear on camera and wear appropriate clothing that doesn't show any logos.
