Rob Thomas has cranked out some big hits as the lead singer of a band, as a solo artist, and as a guest contributor, and he's coming to the Upper Midwest this fall.

Thomas will play the Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City, Sunday, November 1, at 7:30 PM.  Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, August 28, at 10:00 AM.

His new album The Great Unknown, was released August 21, 2015. The first single off the album is "Trust You". In all he has released a trio of solo albums, all while still remaining a member of Matchbox Twenty.

Thomas got his first success outside of the band when he earned three Grammy Awards for co-writing and singing on the Santana triple-platinum hit "Smooth", on the album Supernatural in 1999. The song spent 12 weeks at #1.

In 2004, the Songwriters Hall of Fame awarded Thomas its first Starlight Award, recognizing young songwriters who have already had a lasting influence in the music industry.

Thomas has been with Matchbox Twenty since the band formed in Orlando, Florida in 1995. The group has released four studio albums, all landing in the Top Five, including 2012's North, which went to #1.

Matchbox Twenty also has 11 Top 40 hits, including "Bent", which topped the chart in July, 2000.
