Robin Williams has been laid to rest. The late actor was cremated and his ashes were scattered in the San Francisco Bay on Aug. 12, according to his official death certificate shared by Radar Online.

The cremation occurred just one day after his death on Aug. 11, when the comedian passed away from asphyxia due to hanging. According to his wife Susan Schneider, Williams had been suffering from early signs of Parkinson's disease shortly before his suicide. His death certificate currently lists "pending investigation" under cause of death, as nothing can be officially declared until a toxicology report is completed.

The 63-year-old died in his Tiburon, Calif. home, so the San Francisco Bay is a fitting place for him to rest. His wife and three children, Zak, Zelda and Cody all still live in the area. His sons and daughter previously released statements mourning the loss of their father and celebrating his life, affirming that they were close with the beloved actor.

Our thoughts continue to be with the Williams family during this difficult time.
