There's a good chance you'll be listening to music while in the workplace today.

61% of people say they do, according to a new study conducted by Spotify.

When asked why you choose to have tunes playing in the workplace?  Most people said "It helps me get through the day." Other popular responses were things like: "It provides a nice distraction from my boring job" and "music helps drown out my annoying colleagues."

Walk into most offices and chances are you'll hear "pop" music playing. That was the most popular genre found in the workplace. Rock is next, then country.

We can officially crown Adele queen of the workplace. She was voted the most popular artist to listen to from 9 to 5. Artists like Mumford & Sons and the Arctic Monkeys also fared well in the study.
