Scout Willis Goes Topless in New York City to Protest Instagram

Scout Willis went topless in New York City this week to protest Instagram’s anti-nudity rules.

Daughter to Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, the 22-year-old took advantage of the Big Apple’s gender-equality law stating that women have the same right as men to go topless in public. She stripped down to a floral skirt for her stroll around the city, posting photos of her walking and shopping for flowers on her public Twitter.

She used the hash tag #FreeTheNipple to spread her message of protest, along with multiple photos of her own breasts and others’ as signs that nudity doesn’t equate to vulgarity. And Scout didn’t stop there — she called out Instagram for removing photos of women breastfeeding, tastefully done photography of women with all or parts of their breasts exposed and breast cancer survivors sharing personal photos of their recovery. It does seem a bit ridiculous, don't you think?

Scout received both support and criticism on social media, but she let it roll right off her back.
