The future of self-driving cars is apparently closer than we could have imagined.

Most of the time, I really enjoy driving. Getting behind the wheel, turning up the radio and just go. But there are also the rest of the time: driving through bad weather to and from work; making that long drive home for the holidays; trying to keep the kids occupied and relatively calm while you pilot the family vehicle on that summer vacation.

Wouldn't be nice to have a self-driving car? According to reports, it's no longer a question of 'if', but 'when'!

Industry insiders are saying self-driving cars will be big sellers in the next decade! Those insiders expect 12-MILLION driverless cars on the road by 2035 in fact. It'll cost more of course, to the tune of $7000-$10,000, but if you're someone who commutes to work, or does a lot of long driving trips, or even if you've just got the money, this is going to be very interesting to see.

Personally, I like the thought of taking human error out of the equation of driving. So many distracted, careless drivers on the road, causing way too many accidents. Let them sit in the passenger seat, texting their friends, posting on Facebook, doing whatever it is they do BESIDES driving, and maybe we can see insurance costs level off too.
