Who is this Shirtless Sioux Falls Man Entertaining the Crowd?

Stampede Hockey fans know there’s more action at the game than just on the ice.

Some call him Cotton Eye Joe, others refer to him as Grandpa Joe, but all the regulars at the game know what will happen when the song Cotton Eye Joe blares on the speakers.

Usually during the 3rd period, Kelly Wilken, donning a Stampede home jersey with “C.E. Joe” on the back starts dancing to the song and if it plays long enough, the jersey slips off and he’s twirling it in the air.

Wilken is a charter member of the Stampede season ticket holder family, and was inducted in the Stampede fan of fame for the 2000-01 season.

It’s amazing fans like Joe…or Kelly that make it so much fun to attend a game, keeping the momentum going and the crowd cheering for more.
