The Ted Wells report was published Wednesday and it reported, "it is more probable than not that New England Patriots personnel participated in violations of the Playing Rules and were involved in a deliberate effort to circumvent the rules."

The Patriots were accused of deflating footballs in their AFC championship win over the Indianapolis Colts. Then New England went to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

According to the Wells Report, It turns out that that Tom Brady, "was at least generally aware," of the deflating of the footballs.

The report also said that officials locker room attendant Jim McNally and equipment assistant John Jastremski, "participated in a deliberate effort to release air from Patriots game balls after the balls were examined by the referee."

As we know, Brady said after the AFC title game, "I didn't alter the ball in any way. I have no knowledge of wrongdoing."

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said after the AFC title game, "I have no explanation."

So, with what we know now, should the NFL punish Brady and the Patriots. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the NFL is considering punishing Brady, McNally and Jastremski.

I think that Roger Goodell and the NFL should highly consider discipline for the Patriots. This isn't the first time they were caught cheating. Remember Spygate in 2007?

Goodell also suspended New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams by giving them a similar lesson about ignorance.

Ignorance means by definition, 'the state or fact of being ignorant; lack of knowledge, learning, information, etc.

I think that applies to Brady and the Patriots. If they knew about, why didn't they admit it in the first place. The NFL possibly wouldn't have had to release a 243 page report finding they 'were more than probable,' and 'were generally aware.'

So, do I think the NFL will end up punishing the Patriots? I don't know. New England opens up the NFL season in primetime against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Can you imagine a a national television game that doesn't feature Belichick and Brady?

Plus, the Steelers will already be without La'Veon Bell, who will be serving a suspension for breaking the substance-abuse policy.

By suspending Belichick or Brady, or both, it believe the NFL would be doing the right thing.

I think it's the right call. But will it actually happen? What do you think?
