Simon Cowell Egged [VIDEO]

Simon Cowell got egged during the live final of Britain's Got Talent Saturday night.

The woman, Viola player Natalie Holt, was part of the orchestra that was accompanying the Welsh opera brothers who were performing when she attacked Cowell.

She was reportedly a contestant on the show last year and was not put through during auditions.

In a statement issued by a Britton's Got Talent spokesman afterwards, Ms Holt said: "I want to apologise to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I've never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realised it was a silly thing to do."

Britain's Got Talent said:

Police were called after Ms. Holt's "misguided actions", but added that it would not be taking any further action against her.

There is some speculation in the Twitter-verse that perhaps Simon Cowell was behind the stunt as a publicity move.  What do you think?
