A Sioux Falls elementary school has an assignment for you.

KDLT News is reporting the students at All City Elementary are in the process of collecting shoes to support developing nations and reduce waste.

The project, put on by the parent teacher organization kicked off on September 28. This is the second year in a row students have asked the community to donate shoes.

Once the shoe drive has ended, a company called funds2orgs will purchase all the shoes. That money will then be given to the school, while the shoes that were donated will be distributed to developing nations around the world.

Donna Stolz with All City Elementary told KDLT News, “Coming from around the community it’s amazing to see everybody been involved and the parents really get involved and support everything and the children see everyone working together and that’s just special in itself.”

If you have a pair of gently used kicks that you just don't seem to wear much anymore, or maybe you would prefer to donate a new pair of shoes? The kids at All City Elementary will gladly take them off your hands, or maybe I should say your feet.

Shoes can be donated until Tuesday, (October 31) at three separate locations throughout the Sioux Empire, All City Elementary, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and Sioux Falls Chiropractic.
