Sioux Falls’ Frosty Frolics Weekend

We recently got some great snow and with the cool temps it looks like it may stay around for a while. That's good new for those who will celebrate winter with Frosty Frolics this weekend.

Be a spectator or join in all of the great events. Just don't forget the mug of hot chocolate.

Friday night:

Kick-off your weekend at Great Bear Recreation Park with fireworks and an indoor concert.

Saturday:

9am: Frosty Frolics 1 mile fun run, 5k and 10K walk/run at Spencer Park.

10am: Ice fishing derby at Family Park, near west 12^th and Tea-Ellis Road.

10:30am: Winterfest at Kuehn Community Center with indoor activities including crafts, games and refreshments.

4pm: Memorial Ice Rink there will be hockey and figure skating lessons and more!

Sunday:

Events include snowboarding and skiing races at Great Bear and then at Memorial Ice Rink starting at 1pm there will be photo ops with Frosty the Snowman, Stampede hockey players, carnival on ice, the Zoomobile and more.  (www.siouxfalls.org)

And don't forget, after this weekend, mark you calendars for FunSki, January 25th and 26th, 2013. It's a great fundraiser for the Children's Inn of Sioux falls.
