Sioux Falls Fire Rescue units were dispatched to 3701 E. Claudette Drive on Wednesday evening.  When firefighters arrived, light smoke was coming from the home.

According to Fire Rescue, the fire was confined to the kitchen and was extinguished within 6 minutes.

There was only one person inside the house. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Smoke detectors alerted resident to the kitchen fire.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with four fire trucks, three support vehicles and 20 personnel.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
