A Sioux Falls man is charged after an incident that brought out the SWAT team to the West Sioux area Sunday evening.

Police say they were called just after 7:00 PM to a home in the 2400 block of West Madison Street, where witnesses said a man was assaulting a woman in the front yard.

Those witnesses said the two had gone inside and that they had heard the woman screaming for help. They also said they had heard what may have been gunshots.

The Emergency Response Team was called just before 8:00 PM, and nearby buildings were evacuated and streets were blocked.

Both occupants came out of the residence shortly after 11:30 PM, and Grady Morris was arrested for simple assault-domestic.

The woman did not require medical treatment, and police say there was no evidence of firearms being used.
