Okay, I've heard of people breaking into a home to steal cash, jewelry, firearms, electronics, but a furnace? Get this, not just one furnace, but two!

That's what happened to one Sioux Falls resident earlier this week.

The incident took place sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning at a home located in the northern part of Sioux Falls.

On Tuesday, February 9, Reed Johnson notified Sioux Falls police of the break-in at his rental property in the 800 block of North Duluth Avenue.

Johnson is no stranger to being robbed. Earlier this month he had the water heater and some carpet taken from the very same property on North Duluth Avenue. It's still not clear if the two cases are related.

The theft earlier in the month did prompt Johnson to install a security camera in the rental property location. Ironically the camera was installed 48 hours prior to the second theft taking place, so the entire robbery was caught on video.

According to police spokesman Sam Clemens, the camera caught two people who apparently kicked in the back door of the duplex and loaded the furnaces into a truck. The pipes connecting the furnaces to the home appeared to have been sawed off as well.

No arrests in the case have been made at this time. But Johnson hopes the photos taken from the burglary will help bring down some heat very soon on the people who stole his two heaters.
