Sioux Falls Mom Faces Multiple Drug Charges

Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says Tuesday night officers received a call asking for authorities to check the well being of three children in an apartment at the 200 block of North French Ave. The caller said there was drug use going on in the apartment while children were in the home.

Clemens says officers arrived and learned the person that rented the apartment had a warrant along with another person inside.  Officers smelled marijuana coming from inside the apartment.

The adults were arrested on their warrants and the children were taken into protective custody.  A search warrant was done on the apartment.  Marijuana and meth were present.

"The mother (33 year old Tanya Lynn Dillon) was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance, maintaining a place where drugs are used, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor."
