Sioux Falls Police Lieutenant Troy Lubers says the police department is announcing a campaign for the numerous complaints of motorcycles, scooters, and all-terrain vehicles operating in an unsafe manner on the roadways throughout the city.

Since the beginning of spring, complaints have increased about these vehicles. Many of the complaints revolve around loud noise and inappropriate operation of the vehicle to include such things as reckless driving and operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

To address these concerns, police officers will be strictly enforcing the motor vehicle codes pertaining to motorcycles, scooters, and all-terrain vehicles.

Lubers says enforcing existing motor vehicle laws will  make the roadways safer for all who travel on them and make sure all vehicles comply with the motor vehicle code.
