Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says a robbery suspect broke into a downtown apartment and ripped off rent money from the 74-year-old manager.

"Our suspect ended up cutting a screen on the door to the apartment and was able to unlock it. He then went inside. He showed the woman (the apartment manager) a handgun and tied her up. The man rummaged through the apartment and found some cash. Once had had the money, robber left. The woman was able to get free and then called police."

Clemens says the robber is described as being a white man (wearing a ski mask at the time of the robbery), in his 50's to 60's and 5'8" tall.
