Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says arrests have been made following a Sunday night robbery.

"We had a guy that was outside near 18th Street and Wayland Avenue. As he was walking, someone hit him on the head. That forced him to the ground. A few people began punching him and kicking him. The only thing they took from him was his cell phone."

Clemens says police later caught up with the suspects.

"The car was driving not normal and that grabbed the attention of officers. They ended up stopping the car at 11th Street and Minnesota Avenue. Two guys in the back seat took off running. Two other people stayed inside the car. The two guys that ran were found nearby. One of them had a handgun nearby, stolen cell phone and one pound bag of marijuana. The other person was arrested for fleeing police. The guy with the big bag of marijuana was arrested for various drug charges. One of the passengers that stayed in the car had some drugs and she was charged as well."

The three suspects have been identified as 22-year-old Alexander Brooks, 20-year-old Tyrique Wright and 19-year-old Tori Worthington.

All three are from Sioux Falls.
