The Granite City chain of restaurants has created a program that really embodies the spirit of giving found here in the Sioux Empire.

The program is called Dine to Donate, and it's actually been around for a number of years.

KDLT News is reporting the program is designed to help any perspective fundraiser or foundation that's looking for extra money or support, that according to Sioux Falls Granite City General Manager Devon Giesen.

“This is something Granite City started years ago. It’s called dines and donate basically any fundraiser or foundation that’s looking for extra income or extra money or support. A certain proceeds of the sales from today go to that foundation.”

Dine and Donate was on display again in the Sioux Empire on Monday (March 13) when Granite City rallied to help the family of Kareem Cisse, the victim of a fatal crash.

The Cisse family received 20 percent of Granite City’s total sales on Monday after the restaurant opened their doors to the community to enjoy a meal in support of Kareem Cisse.

The Dine to Donate program is a perfect example of how Granite City helps achieve their goal of supporting members of the community in times of need.

Granite City can be found in South Dakota and 13 other states nationwide.
