Sioux Falls to Introduce Smart Parking Meters Downtown

Public Parking is excited to announce easier parking ahead. The City of Sioux Falls is implementing an innovative approach in parking to support our ever-growing and vibrant downtown. The City is permanently installing 185 smart parking meters capable of accepting tokens, coins, credit cards, and debit cards in the downtown area.

These meters will be placed in the heart of downtown on the 100, 200, 300, and 400 blocks of South Phillips Avenue. The meters will also be placed on the east and west 100 blocks of Tenth Street and 11th Street and the east side of 200 South Main Avenue.

The IPS Group parking meter was selected as the most user-friendly smart parking meter for patrons and visitors. Installation is scheduled for the week of December 3, 2012.
