New SDSU head men's basketball coach TJ Otzelberger has begun looking to the future already in his early tenure with the Jacks as he just got a local kid to commit from the 2018 class.

According to Matt Zimmer of the Argus Leader, SDSU has received a verbal commitment from Sioux Valley big man Trevor Hanson.

Now Hanson is only a sophomore and his ceiling is what has attracted the Jacks even before Otzelberger was hired.

He is described as a versatile, 6'8 big man that has a lot of upside, especially as he continues to add the muscle needed to take the beating of D1 basketball.
