Sleeping Dogs Lie in January’s Games with Gold

A new year is dawning and with it comes two new games up for grabs with Microsoft's Games with Gold program on Xbox 360. January's offerings? Sleeping Dogs and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

A post on Xbox Wire introduced us to the two free games that Xbox Live Gold members will get next month. From Jan. 1 - 15, you'll be able to download Sleeping Dogs, a game that puts you in the role of undercover cop, Wei Shen, as he infiltrates the dangerous underground world of the Triads. The game is normally $19.99 in the Marketplace, but you can grab it gratis for the next two weeks.

From Jan. 16 - 31, you can download Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. This top-down adventure is different from the rest of our favorite tomb raider's expeditions in that it is a co-op game in which you and a friend can run through levels and solve puzzles, fight off supernatural enemies and collect over 60 artifacts and relics. You'll be saving $14.99 by downloading this game for free.
