S’mores of the New Age
I'd tried the recipe for replacing the traditional S'more Hershey's chocolate bar with Peanut Buttercups and I liked it. But I was recently informed about the insanity of The Kit Kat S'more. Then came the idea of The Peanut Buttercup/Kit Kat combo, where these chocolate titans of flavor share the same Graham cracker while bench pressing their own individual marshmallow.
I had to try all variations of the new ingredients and I have to say in my opinion I'm going to have to crown the original version with the Hershey's bar in the S'more is still my favorite.
And then when I thought all was well in the world and I could go back to a boring life of tradition until someone suggested I try The Starburst S'more.
The third option almost seemed like straight up crazy talk, putting a Starburst in a marshmallow? I couldn't wait for the next campfire to experiment.
So I threw this combo in the microwave and got this thing on my taste buds as soon as possible. The result? I like it. A lot!
This version won't satisfy any camping chocolate cravings but it is a sweet treat for mixing things up.
To pull this off the next time your camping simply take a marshmallow you've toasted from the fire and pull it off the stick placing the Starburst in the center and it will melt a lot faster than you'd expect.
I'd describe this S'more of the new age like a thicker second cousin to cotton candy.
