Don't get caught drunk behind the wheel in South Dakota this October, because chances are good authorities will catch you.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol just announced that they plan to set up sobriety checkpoints in 19 counties throughout the state during the month of October.

Twenty-three different checkpoints will be set up around the Rushmore State to discourage people from drinking and driving.

Checkpoints are planned for the following counties: Brookings, Brown, Charles Mix, Clay, Codington, Custer, Day, Gregory, Hughes, Lawrence, Lincoln, Minnehaha, Moody, Pennington, Roberts, Spink, Stanley, Tripp and Walworth.

Consider yourself warned.
