If you work in the construction business, South Dakota is a good place to be working right now.

According to a new report from the Associated Builders and Contractors, South Dakota currently has the nations lowest construction unemployment.

The report shows the state's construction unemployment rate at 1.8 percent for the month of June. Up one spot from the previous month.

Nebraska was second at 1.9 percent, with North Dakota coming in third at 2.1 percent.

Both South Dakota and North Dakota had tied for the second spot back in May, at 2.2 percent.

Economist Bernard Markstein, who put the report together says the reason North Dakota slipped to third is largely due to the slump in oil prices and the resulting slowdown in exploration and drilling new wells.
