Here we go again. We're not receiving a LOT of snow, but what we are getting along with a pretty stiff Northwest Wind, is making for a tough commute for motorists in Southeast South Dakota again Monday Afternoon.

There were reports of numerous accidents along I-29 in the Tea/Harrisburg area and north of Sioux Falls.  There were also calls reporting tough visibility on the east west highways.

  • Snow before 5pm, then a chance of snow after 5pm. Steady temperature around 10. Blustery, with a north wind around 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Tonight Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around -19. Wind chill values as low as -29. Blustery, with a north wind 20 to 25 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
  • Tuesday Mostly cloudy, with a high near 10. Wind chill values as low as -22. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

      Saw a car on its top by Parker exit. And watched a crown Vic spin into the median by worthing exit
    • Shelly Schlagel Near white out conditions at Target on east side Sioux Falls. Side streets getting slippery. Careful at street corners. Saw 2 nearly spin completely around.
    • Ashley Losing Just came from the canton exit to sf, seven vehicles in the ditch, including a pickup up on the guard rail, white van on its back, pickup on its side, and a jeep with the drivers side smashed pretty good. Hoping everyone stays safe!
