Class AA for both boys and girls hasn't changed much, but there is a new number one team in Class A boys in this week's edition of the South Dakota Sportswriters High School Basketball poll.

For Class AA Boys Watertown is now the unanimous number one team with a 8-1 record. The top five teams have remained consistent, however Huron has jumped Pierre after a 50-48 head-to-head win last Tuesday.

Class AA girls has not seen any changes in the poll over the last week. Washington continues to hold first place, but Aberdeen Central is still right behind them with a 8-0 record.

Sioux Valley is now the top team in Class A Boys with a 10-1 record. Their only loss this season was at the Pentagon to Class AA Lincoln. Sioux Falls Christian, with losses to Dell Rapids and MOC-Floyd Valley, IA, has moved to second place. Speaking of Dell Rapids, they have found themselves into the top five for this week.

Teams in Class A Girls have remained consistent this week with only one change in the rankings. Elk Point-Jefferson and McCook Central-Montrose switched positions this week following McCook Central-Montrose losing to Sioux Valley (10-0) and Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (9-1).

Class B Boys is one of the more interesting conferences at this point with the amount of votes spread out. In total, ten total teams in Class B received votes to be ranked in the top five. Unlike last week, we now have a set 1-5 and no ties in the ranking. Warner continues to be the unanimous top team.

And this week in Class B Girls we see another unanimous selection in the top team with Sully Buttes, who stands at 10-0 on the year. Ethan and Warner swapped positions this week, while Castlewood secured the lone fifth spot.
