The South Dakota Sportswriters have released their latest high school football poll for the week and every number one team has stayed put.

Class 11AAA

Roosevelt remains the top team for this week's poll following an impressive 49-7 win over Lincoln. The Patriots remain at number five with the loss. Washington continued their strong start of the season with a 41-7 win on the road over Yankton. O'Gorman came through during Dakota Bowl to beat Brandon Valley 34-22. In a surprising twist, Aberdeen Central received a vote after losing to Rapid City Stevens.

Class 11AA

Not much has changed in the 11AA ranks at the top. Harrisburg remains the unanimous favorite after a 33-21 win over Pierre. Harrisburg will face 11AAA's top team Roosevelt on Friday night. Huron has jumped into the rankings and into a tie for third after wins over Sturgis and Douglas. Brookings has fallen out of the top five after a 2OT loss to Douglas.

Class 11A

Madison has allowed just 19 points combined over the last three games in route to a perfect 3-0 start. The Bulldogs shutout West Central 32-0 in Hartford last week to remain the top team in the rankings. 11A as a whole is the only 11-man class to feature five teams that are still undefeated.

Class 11B

Three straight shutout wins for Winner to open the season has put the Warriors at the top of 11B. Groton Area did receive one first place vote this week, as they also have a 3-0 record. Tri-Valley fell one spot to third, while Sioux Valley and Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan switched places in this week's rankings.

Class 9AA

Not much has changed for Class 9AA this week according to the South Dakota Sportswriters. Webster Area and Canistota still received first place votes, however the two teams have now been separated with Webster Area receiving one more vote to secure second. Last week the two teams were tied. Gregory has jumped into the top five following a 3-0 start and a 32-7 win over Bon Homme. Mount Vernon/Plankinton also received enough votes to get into the top five following a bye week.
