It was a good week for the University of South Dakota and South Dakota State University agains the University of Minnesota.

Both schools defeated the Gophers in Williams Arena in Minneapolis, MN.

If that wasn't sweet enough, both schools from South Dakota made out with a combined $155,000 according to the Pioneer Press.

USD walked a way with a win and $90,000 and SDSU made out with a win as well and cashed in with a $65,000 pay day.

This all is common practice by the way.  A power school will pay a mid major to come and play in the thinking it's a easy win. Most of the time that is the case, but this week, the Coyotes and the Jackrabbits bucked tradition.

Minnesota may be getting real tired of South Dakota even more after this upcoming weekend when they play Oklahoma State at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD. If that ends in a loss, we might not see the Gophers basketball program step foot in our state again nor play our schools again anytime soon.
