Apparently, some South Dakotans are getting duped into believing that they've won the Mega-Millions Lottery.

According to the South Dakota Lottery offices, people are getting phone calls and mailers about cash prize details - and it's not legit.

Even if you play the Mega-Millions, you won't get a phone call or anything by mail needing more information to claim a prize.

Simply, sign the back of the ticket, store it in a safe place and bring it into an authorized South Dakota lottery retailer for smaller prizes and a SD Lottery office for larger ones.

Don't get scammed and never share your personal information.

If you have received a call or mail from these scammers, call the South Dakota Lottery office at 605-773-5770. To see what the SD lottery will or will not do, check this out.
