One of the players the University of South Dakota was hoping to rely on during her senior season last year, will now play her final season in Vermillion this coming season, after being granted an additional year of eligibility by the NCAA.

Caitlin Duffy gets the sixth year after missing all of last season with a leg injury.

The Rapid City native was the Summit League's Transfer of the Year during the 2015-16 season, after coming to the Coyotes from Colorado State. She averaged nine points a game that year, as USD won the WNIT Championship.

Duffy will be playing alongside her younger sister, Ciara, next season. Ciara Duffy was the 2016-17 Summit League Freshman of the Year after starting all 32 games for the Coyotes, averaging 11 points and five rebounds per game.
