One of the many great things about Sioux Falls is that you can find beautiful spaces of nature right in the heart of the city.

I found one the other day downtown along the Big Sioux River. Right across the river from Cherapa Place.

what I really like about spots like this in the city is that without much effort you can forget that you're surrounded by nearly a quarter of a million people. There's just the wind in the grass, flowers and the meandering river.

Turn around and you are in the heart of South Dakota's largest city. But, sitting on the bank of the Big Sioux the big sky and the water can take you away.
