Mayor Mike Huether has scheduled his 'State of the City' address for Thursday March 26.  He announced his intentions in a letter sent to the Sioux Falls City Council.

In his letter, the Mayor writes,

"While Sioux Falls tackles grand things, we also maintain great financial strength. The City added to its reserves or “piggy-bank” for the fifth year in a row, a credit to a strong economy and prudent budgetary management. Key economic indicators, including a 5.1 percent growth in city sales taxes and a local unemployment rate of 3.1 percent, clearly reflect a robust Sioux Falls economy."

The Mayor adds that his State of the City Address will also provide a blueprint for how our city government will meet the challenges of a growing community, and offer insight into goals for the future.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West Tenth Street. The public is encouraged to attend.
