In front of the Christmas Day crowd of 3,223 at the Sanford Pentagon, the Sioux Falls Skyforce dumped the Oklahoma City Blue 99-84.

As the first half played out, both teams played hot potato with the lead with Oklahoma City (2-13) leading at each quarter break. Those margins were two and one points respectively as the visitors were the stronger team as the time grew shorter.

Early in the second half, the Blue built their largest lead of the game at 51-46 when the turning point arrived with 10:28 left in the period. Sioux Falls (10-3) used the next eight and a half minutes to smother the Blue.

In the process the home crowd was treated to a 24 point swing to put the ‘Force up 74-55. In the fourth quarter, Oklahoma City cut the margin to eight before succumbing.

Keith Benson returned from a one game absence due to injury leading the scoring parade with 21 points and 11 rebounds plus one big block on the video below. Both DeAndre Liggins and Tre Kelley added 20 with Byron Mullens supplying 19 points and 13 boards.

Six players for the Blue hit double figures in scoring led by Dez Wells and J.P. Tokoto who each had 13 points. One other note for Oklahoma City, their rebound distribution was also evenly spread as five players had eight or more rebounds.

Both teams will be hitting the road for their next outings on Sunday. The Skyforce will head east to meet Fort Wayne while the Blue will head west to tussle with Idaho.
